All applicants must be full-time undergraduate students who - at the time of their notable activity/accomplishment and nomination - had an active membership in a registered student organization, with preference given to student organizations that do not receive student-fee support.
Students from all UConn campuses are encouraged to apply.
Additional eligibility criteria include:
- Eligible activities must have occurred as a result/part of a nominee’s membership in a registered student organization.
- Eligible activities must be concrete, identifiable actions, programs, advocacy or work of significance around the stated cause. Activities could have been one-time, long term, or continuous.
- Nominees must have a demonstrated financial need.
- Nominees must not have been on any form of academic or conduct-related probation when the notable activity/accomplishment took place/was held.
- Nominees must not be on any form of conduct-related probation during the current semester nor during their participation in this program.
- At the time the notable activity/accomplishment, the registered student organization must have been properly registered with the University for at least 6 continuous months.
- At the time of the notable activity/accomplishment, the registered student organization must have been in good standing (no conduct related issues).
- At the time of the nomination the registered student organization must be in good standing.
NOTE: The activity MUST be tied to a RSO.
